Week 30
Was thinking of writing this post on Saturday... and then Sunday... and now it's Monday.
Last week was pretty good, finally got my stuff merged in (after tons of delays because I didn't match the mock-ups exactly.) I guess that's my fault for not getting my questions clarified before I send my code in for review. Anyways, I'm moving onto a lot more simple tasks for now, I think they're planning to have the Virginia team work on a different part so eventually I'll be moving over to that.
Anyways I've still been going to the gym consistently 3 times a week. I think I'm about where I was with benching, but still have a lot to build back up for back and leg stuff. I think I'm gonna focus on keeping a wider range of motion for now and work up the weight slowly, since I'm pretty inflexible. Hopefully it'll help me not injure myself again like last year. Felt real bad not being able to use my shoulder for half a year.
Hobbies... Mostly just streaming Valorant recently. It's starting to feel a lot like league, where I don't actually find playing the game fun. But playing with friends is what makes it fun I guess. Also getting that feeling where I want to get better so I won't make people lose just by playing with them. :/
Keyboarding and soldering stuff has been a journey. Toward the end of last week, I decided to take apart the keyboard I soldered a couple weeks ago. Decided I would just stick to a more standard layout, since that's what's supported by a majority of the keycaps. I've been watching a streamer/youtuber called Taeha Types, and he desoldered a board pretty easily. I thought it couldn't be too difficult, but it took me 4 hours... Couldn't consistently get the solder off the board with the pump, and ended up warping one of the switches... Good thing I didn't really like those switches anyways. Also I finally got the parts to finalize a different board, so I soldered it this weekend. It feels and sounds really nice now.
Also it's pretty cool to find out a lot of my friends also had an interest in keyboards! They've been reaching out to me to talk about boards and switches and stuff! I thought the keyboard hobby was pretty niche when I started looking into it, but I guess it's a lot more popular than I thought. Now... with all the interest in it, when will they start stocking parts in a more time friendly manner? Maybe in a storefront? maybe... something like... Amazon?
haha anyways im done for now, gonna head to the gym for chest day.
