Maja
Think 6.5v2 w/ Silks, FR4 plate
Tofu65 w/ Nk Creams, Brass plate
7V w/ silks, Alu plate: higher pitched than the rest sounds kind of weak
Zplit w/ silks, Brass plate: higher pitched, pretty quiet
Muted
Vega w/ JWK linears, FR4 plate
Feel
KBD Maja w/ Glorious Pandas, Brass plate
Think 6.5v2, most satisfying bottom out feel of my linears
Vega, feels slightly softer than the Think6.5v2
D65
7V, bottom out feels premature as if there was less key travel. Feels bouncy? not sure if not enough bounce or too much bounce
Zplit, stiff bottom out, feels shallow. Layout is especially difficult (reverse stagger)
Overall
Think 6.5v2: Thocc and bottom out feel is better than the rest. Beats Maja because its linear & 65%
Vega: Equivalent to Think6.5v2, but when I want less sound
Maja
Zplit: Bottom out feel and reverse stagger mostly cause this to be lower.
D65
7V
Thoughts
Split keyboard would be higher if it could deliver on a more satisfying bottom out. I joined the Sol 3 group buy, so depending on how that feels it might actually beat out the think and Vega. The D65 actually feels and sounds very good but sometimes it feels *too* smooth. It has heavier springs, but I feel like I actuate the switches by accident because I can’t tell that I’ve depressed them. On another note, light tactiles might make up for poor bottom out feel ie: Maja feels really good although its also top mount… I didn’t put mill max sockets in the Zplit though, so I have no way of testing that :/
